Well, Look At That

Like most of you, I would imagine, YouTube is where I generally look for videos. Occasionally, though, I'll check out Vimeo, which is where I found this one posted by something called Awesome Films last fall. It's a not a bad recruiting video ;-)

(Click the triangle at the BOTTOM of the video to hear what Jackson Perry has to say.)

Dartmouth Football - Jackson Perry, Defensive Line from Awesome Films on Vimeo.
Dartmouth has "offered" three accomplished Pennsylvania juniors according to a PennLive story running under the headline, These 10 guys might be the hottest college football prospects in Pennsylvania right now.
While Dartmouth isn't yet listed on the D1.ticker Zoom athletic background spreadsheet (LINK), a loyal reader did share a link to Dartmouth library backgrounds in the event you want to appear to be serious in your latest Zoom conference. Find those backgrounds HERE and there are a few more HERE.
I finally found the AP story (LINK) that purports to give a sense of how the spring sports situation and grad transfer rules are impacting the Ivy League. From the story (italics are mine):
While many Ivy League schools aren't usually challenging for national championships, the conference is very strong in men's lacrosse. The Ivy League has three of the top teams in the country with No. 2 Cornell, No. 3 Princeton and No. 5 Yale. The Tigers are led by Michael Sowers, who is one of the best lacrosse players in the country.
He originally had said he would withdraw from Princeton, but later said on Twitter that he would stay. On Thursday he entered the NCAA transfer portal a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press.
The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the player hasn’t publicly announced the move. Over 90 Ivy League senior spring-sports athletes have entered the portal in the last month according to the person.
EXTRA POINT
Trevor Nealon on keyboards center top, Gordy Quist on guitar, bottom right
Like restaurant workers and so many others, touring musicians are having a hard time making ends meet in light of the stay-at-home order. The Band of Heathens, the Austin-based group featuring former Dartmouth linebacker Gordy Quist '02 and defensive back Trevor Nealon '02, has addressed the issue a couple of ways. From the band website:
The Band of Heathens welcome you to join them for their weekly live stream, the Good Time Supper Club. Join in for stories, songs and nonsense as the band navigates the new touring model of live streaming. Ask questions, make requests, share this link, and tell your friends. If you are able, please support the band via PayPal or Venmo, or book a personal house concert for you and your friends (check availability below). Your generosity is how they’ll support their families while traditional touring is canceled.
The Good Time Supper Club will be live tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 7:30 p.m. CDT.

Gordy's also offering a "40-minute personal show" in which you can "invite up to 10 households to share the songs and stories (and cost)! Requests are welcome." Learn more HERE.

In case you are new around here and haven't heard The Band of Heathens, here's a song about Hunter Thompson they did on Austin City Limits.
Editor Note: Another thank you for your encouragement and support of BGA Daily. Honestly, with little going on right now I was questioning my enthusiasm for marching to the keyboard each morning to dig up tidbits for you. It means a lot to know people are checking in and appreciate the time that goes into pulling this together each morning.
