Tri-Champions Per Massey

The Wise Guys are still crunching the numbers but Massey Ratings likes Dartmouth's chances of winning a share of the Ivy League title on Saturday. Massey sees:

Dartmouth 27, Brown 21 with 65 percent confidence
Yale 31, Harvard 28 with 54 percent confidence

Elsewhere . . .

Penn 21, Princeton 20 with 52 percent confidence
Cornell 21, Columbia 20 with 52 percent confidence

For those who are wondering how accurate the Massey algorithm might be, here's how the service saw the Ivy League season playing out back in August:

Dartmouth 4-3, 6-4
Penn 3-4, 6-4
Columbia 2-5, 5-5
Cornell 1-6, 4-6
Brown 0-7, 1-9

And finally, here's where Massey ranks Ivy League teams this week in the bigger FCS picture:

16 - Harvard
38 - Yale
44 - Penn
47 - Dartmouth
56 - Princeton
57 - Brown
70 - Cornell
73 - Columbia

Not that there's much to be learned from a game story in a college newspaper, but in case you are curious, the Brown Daily Herald has a story about the Bears' overtime win at Columbia Saturday HERE.

This was posted on Dartmouth's social media for Saturday's home finale against Cornell. Who will be returning for the final year of COVID-19 Super Seniors is to be determined.

Click HERE to read a Dartmouth sports information story about senior long snapper Josh Greene under the headline, Greene Makes Profound Impact on Those Around Him; Greene was named to the 2022 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. From the story:

"We did a thing last spring where I asked everybody to write down the one person you would want to pack your parachute," said (head coach Sammy) McCorkle. "I would say 80 percent of the team said Josh Greene. That's the effect he has on the team. People trust him, they listen to him and they believe in him.
