Check It Out

Dartmouth held its first of two camp scrimmages yesterday and you can read about it on BGA Overtime. The piece includes very unofficial statistics kept from the top of the soccer stands overlooking a practice field with no numbers, watching through binoculars and juggling a clipboard with stat sheets. If a few of these numbers are a little off, now you know why. ;-)

There's no practice today so the OT site will be quiet until Dartmouth returns to the practice field tomorrow.

As mentioned previously in this electronic precinct, ESPN+ can now be accessed free of charge if you have one of the major – and perhaps not-so-major – TV providers. Scroll down this LINK to learn more.

Now Cord Cutters reports YouTube TV Adds ESPN Unlimited to Its App. If I understand this correctly, "ESPN+" is part of tue Unlimited plan. Find that story HERE.

Green Alert Take: I think the Unlimited/ESPN+ arrangement could be a little more confusing, but maybe not. I'm not sure if they used AI to try to explain things, or if maybe they should use AI to explain things but they should be able to do better.

The Columbus Dispatch has a piece headlined What Ohio State players said after watching Ryan Day's college highlights that notes . . .

". . .players were shown a highlight of Day completing a game-winning touchdown pass against Dartmouth."

Find the story HERE, and keep watching to check out the play from UNH's 42-38 win in 2001:

For the record, Day was 17-of-28 for 249 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions against the Big Green that afternoon. He also ran 20 times for 109 yards and one TD.

Dartmouth's Greg Smith was 37-64 for 416 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.

EXTRA POINT
Given how ubiquitous phones have become, the growing number of doorbell cameras, and all of the closed circuit surveillance cameras on sides of buildings and seemingly everywhere else, it feels as if there's video of just about anything that happens these days. You've probably already seen this, but if not for that technology, you'd never believe this. And be sure to watch to the end to see how it looked from inside the bus:
